        Abstract
        The Certificate Programme in Community Development (CCD) is aimed at building and strengthening the capabilities of community workers, such as in-service Preraks (literacy workers), so that they may have the knowledge and skills to plan, manage, implement, and document activities to facilitate community development. The learning materials were developed by State Resource Centre, Kerala India with support from the Commonwealth of Learning. The programme consists of 4 modules: Social Work & Development, Environment Education, Civic Sense, and Project Work.
