The aims of this handbook are to review methods by which you can establish: - Whether programmes achieve their objectives. - The importance of outcomes in programmes. - Through contact with different stakeholders in programmes, which objectives and outcomes they consider to be important. And to answer specific questions, such as: - What types of information can show whether a programme has met its objectives? - Why is it important to work with programme stakeholders, in gathering information about a programme and its outcomes? - How can information about a programme’s objectives and outcomes help in improving a programme? - How can information about a programme’s objectives and outcomes help in planning for the future?
