This course will make you think about tourists. As you go through this workbook you will look at: where tourists come from - why they come here and - the things they like to do when they are here - things you should know about tourists - good things and bad things that can come from tourism - people and places involved in tourism in your area.
Working with Timber

This course is a basic introduction to working with timber, tools and plans. It helps students to: think about some of the good and bad things about different timbers and how to choose the right timber for a job; practise use simple tools to make basic joints and frames. // The course looks at timber used in building construction rather than the finer work in cabinet making. The focus is on ʻwesternʼ style construction rather than traditional or custom building methods. // Includes Tutor Guide and Student Workbook. // The course is a part of the Pacific programme of Basic Trades training for small island nations. This programme is initiated and supported by the Pacifi c Association for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (PATVET) and the Commonwealth of Learning.
