Flexi-School Conference, London, 17 June 2011, Open Schooling and Teacher Education in a 21st Century Educational Ecosystem, Sir John Daniel, Commonwealth of Learning // The challenge of getting all of the world's children through primary school - let alone bringing in the 400 million 12-to-17 year olds who are not in secondary school - cannot be addressed by business as usual. Two important parts of the answer are open schooling (or flexi-schooling) and classroom-focused in-service teacher education. Both rely on the use of distance learning at scale.
