Abstract
My topic today is ‘Moving towards relevant and inclusive education: the role of distance learning and technology’. I will first look at the context of education globally and in the Pacific region. I will then review the response to these needs-- developments in distance education and elearning, which include the emergence of OER and MOOCs. In conclusion, I will raise questions relating to some of the ways in which we can move towards more relevant and inclusive education for all.
