Abstract
Technology has become a critical component of economic development in Asia and the Pacific. Indeed this is a global phenomenon. This presentation identifies a few global trends with respect to Information and Communications Technologies (ICTs) and in particular, how countries and institutions could respond to ensure skills are developed to take advantage of these trends.
