Abstract
In this module, we first consider presenting your findings and recommendations to various audiences.We then look at the processes involved in writing up and presenting your research findings in different ways. Finally, we examine the barriers that can prevent your research findings from being more widely disseminated and adopted, and how to overcome them. The aims of this module are to: 1 Encourage you to think more widely about how your research and findings might be used in policymaking and practice, and what might prevent them being used in this way. 2 Help you write up your research findings and present them in different formats and through different channels for different purposes and for different audiences. 3 Help you overcome any barriers to dissemination and adoption that may arise. There is an appendix to this module which looks at these issues from an institutional perspective.The appendix discusses ways in which research activity can be encouraged and developed in open and distance learning organisations. Although it may not be of immediate relevance to you, we hope you will read it in order to place your research within this wider context.
