Abstract
The paper will explore the different factors that restrict the number of female undergraduates in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics courses in the National Open University of Nigeria, an ODL institution, in spite of the larger population of women to men at the national level, and the myriad of empowering opportunities e-learning holds for the women folk. It suggests various ways in which e-learning can be made more attractive in Nigeria, and how it can be creatively used to deconstruct the myth of Science and Mathematics, thereby increasing the number of women into courses usually dominated by men. // Paper ID: 437
