Abstract
The Commonwealth Educational Media Centre for Asia (CEMCA), New Delhi,
in collaboration with four State Open Universities (Dr BRAOU, KKHOU,
NSOU, and UOU) representing different geographical regions of the country
undertook a research in 2021-22 to understand the students’ learning
experiences, including the challenges faced by them during Covid-19. The
study also aimed at eliciting feedback from the senior management of the
respective universities about the pandemic’s effect on Open and Distance
Educational institutions in general, the institutions, the efforts that they
made to meet to challenges which arose due to the pandemic and probable
future directions in Open and Distance Education, in particular. In all 1,227
students participated in the online survey.
