Abstract
The purpose of the study is to investigate the relationship between teacher certification and instructional practices at one of the three tertiary institutions in Barbados that falls under the aegis of the Ministry of Education – the BCC. // This paper seeks to examine the following research questions: What is the relationship between teacher certification and the effectiveness of teachers’ instructional practice? What is the effect of certification on the competence of teachers’ instructional practice?
