dc.description.abstract Multimedia Educational Resources for Learning and Online Teaching (MERLOT) learning object repository was established in 1997 and it has been growing ever since. As of June 2013, there are 40,617 materials, 113,208 members, and 3,699 peer reviewers. Materials in MERLOT include everything from tutorials to simulations; these learning objects are adaptable by educators across the globe. MERLOT is unique because all the materials are continually subjected to a blind-peer-review process. The final rating is based on specific review criteria by topic experts in relevant disciplines. // In this online “hands on” workshop with facilitators, the participants will have an opportunity to explore MERLOT. There will be time during the workshop to brainstorm its use in a classroom and personal professional development . Participants will be required to carry out individual projects at the end of the workshop. // Paper ID:410 en_US
