Access to Information and Communication Technology (ICT) can empower SHG women by promoting basic literacy and education, providing access to knowledge, banking services, etc. The present paper mainly focuses on the uses of Information and Communication Technology among women members of SHGs and role of distance education. The study was based upon an empirical study carried out two districts namely, Jorhat and Morigaon, of the state of Assam of India.
